On 1 january 1988 A.J. Jongeneel pulled out of the company, transferring the business to his two sons Hans and Peter. They choose to split the company into two independent companies. Peter took directorship of the petrol station while Hans choose to continue in the transport industry. The fleet consisted of 15 lorries at that moment.

After 1988 our company has grown rather fast. Besides our reliable customers, like Menken, Shell and Benegas, new commitments were made with for example Air Liquide, OK gas and Linde Gas.

In 1992 we were one of the first companies which were certified for ISO 9001. We were very proud when Ad Menken handed us over this certificate in may 1992.

In 1993 we took over the transport and renting company of Willem Vollebregt. We changed the name of this company into Jovetra. Under this new name the company continued with the hiring out of 'rijplaten' and 'dragline-schotten'.

Business doesn't always work out the way you want them to. We where, for example, less successful with our package service. After a few years we stopped with this service. Sitting down in despair is not our style, that is why we looked out for new business and created new opportunities by making new contacts. We started working for 'Hoogvliet', a supermarket chain in The Netherlands, and for 'Van Heezik' a distributor of supermarkets.

In 2003 a new generation took over the company. Under the supervision of Ard and Ruud Jongeneel the company has got a new corporate design. Moreover they have further developed the company in the field of ICT.

In 2007 we were assessed for SQAS. During this audit our service is completely tested on safety and quality.

Meanwhile Jongeneel Transport is over 50 years present on the European roads. Our mission is to continue and, where possible, improve our service for the next generations.
